This is a follow up article to General Oadius, it put a smile on my face and brought back some memories. I started playing 40k purely by chance, in 98 my brother in law was like 15 and my wonderful mother in law at the time ( no sarcasm she was very cool) bought the little toolbox a full ultramarines starter army to pull him away from vidoe games. The concept of tabletop games eluded toolbox and he traded me for a ps2'game. Ironically enough i was at a point in my life where i could no longer stand to play video games being a hardcore gamer myself, and i had always liked to build tamiya ww2 scale models, rc cars ( yes in the old days rc cars did not come preassembled) ect, the terminators were the first thing i built. The detail on the models was awesome and i had played similar games in the past but never with much interest, so i painted that squad of Ultramarine termies with what i had thought to be the craziest detail ect i liked what i saw and started to read the rulebook. I found out there were badguys so i found the store, talked to the guy, he gave me the chaos codex based on what i told him and i bought a blister. Abbadon the despoiler sealed the deal andmthemrestmis history. I played very little in the beginning games were harder to find because most people played
